Reducing the dosage of the cyclosporin was the proper thing to do, do Bravo to your rheumatologist. If your symptoms subside or are reduced to the point that your quality of daily living are acceptable, and the disease is in remission with current dosages, then I suggest making no changes; don't rock the boat. However, if you are not in control or still have significant symptoms, changing medication is reasonable. Tacrolimus is sometimes tolerated by some people who have not tolerated cyclosporin. Sirolimus is another alternative. Intravenous Zenapax is another, as is intravenous Remicade.
