Just wanted to share our current success with you Dr Foster.. My daughter age 7 (almost 8 in Jan.) was seen by you a few years back She was diagnosed with JRA
i nduced uveitis at age 3. . We are lucky to have some great Drs here in NY and see Dr. Samson in NYC and Dr Beth Gottlieb from Schneiders Childresn Hospital .
Meghan as you put it had a stubborn case of uveitis ( but you agreed she was getting the proper care) and after Mtx you recommended Cellcept.. That didnt work
so we moved on to Imuran and cyclosporin to no avail.. We tried MTX Sub Q and had minimal success.. We are now using .4 ml of Humira and have found success..
She started on Humira last October with both active Uveitis and active arthritis and after only 2 doses ( 1 injection every other week) she has been
inflammation free..She has been off all drops since March. Thankfully she has no ill side effects and is fortunate to still have 20/20 vision with good
pressures..Just wanted to throw this out there for your research and for helping others. Humira has been our wonder drug.. This site too has been a blessing..
I wouldn't know about Dr Samson and he has been a tremendous plus in this fight!
