My eleven year old daughter was told today by her Opthalmologist that she cannot have contacts as long as she is using Predforte drops. I was surprised by the
answer which really came with no explaination. I assume it is just a hassle because she would have to remove the contacts for the drops. However, if she is
only on two drops per day and she took the drops before she put them in and then took them again at the end of the day once she removed the contacts....would
this be a problem? Or is there another reason that wasn't explained to me as to why Predforte and contacts cannot work together.
She is now participating in volleyball and was hit in the face the other day with her glasses on. I would prefer now that she is older to have contacts as an option so she doesn't suffer from and injury or embarrassment during sports.
Please help me understand his viewpoint and enlighten me. I would really appreciate it.
